Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of meeting Jérémie from Château Paradis at a wine event in Miami. We connected over a shared passion for wine and music, so when the opportunity arose to visit him at the estate in Aix-en-Provence, I didn’t hesitate. Originally planning an afternoon visit, Jérémie suggested I come in the early evening instead—Château Paradis was hosting a live DJ set featuring Synapson, one of France’s most well-known electronic acts. As someone who loves DJs and electronic music, I didn’t need much convincing. I grabbed an Uber and made my way to the estate, fully aware this wouldn’t be a spitting-only kind of tasting.

Upon arrival, the energy was already building. The estate was buzzing with activity—tables being dressed, speakers being wired, food trucks rolling in. The event setup made for a lively contrast to the serene backdrop of Provence’s rolling vineyards. I managed a quick tour before being whisked away into the tasting room, a calm space removed from the excitement outside.

The tasting lineup was impressive. I worked my way through their full range, and of course
what they’re best known for: rosé. The Château Paradis rosés are quintessential Provence—pale, dry, and effortlessly elegant. But it was their wines from Château Fonscolombe, a sister property also organically farmed, that stole the show for me. Their rosé was stunning, layered with delicate fruit and herbal lift, and perfectly suited to a warm evening outdoors.
The surprises didn’t stop there. The Fonscolombe blanc was a standout—floral, fresh, and vibrant, with a blend that offered lift and texture without ever weighing down the palate. It was clear the team was putting just as much care into their whites and reds as their rosés. The reds, in particular, were unexpectedly expressive, with a generous percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. They brought structure and depth while still maintaining the freshness that defines wines of this region.
After the tasting, I had the chance to meet the family behind Château Paradis and Château Fonscolombe. They were gracious, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both their wines and the experiences they create around them. They handed me a wristband, granting full access to the evening’s festivities, and from there, the mood shifted into something almost dreamlike.

As the sun began to set over the vines, the crowd gathered for the DJ set. Glass in hand, I sipped rosé while Synapson filled the air with music that was equal parts soulful and electric. The energy of the evening was unforgettable—people dancing between vineyard rows, conversations flowing as easily as the wine, and the landscape bathed in golden Provençal light.
I came to Château Paradis expecting great rosé—and I found it. But I left with a much deeper appreciation for the breadth of their winemaking and the joy they cultivate around it. It was a perfect collision of Provence, hospitality, and rhythm. I’ll be back, ideally with a few more friends in tow and maybe a bottle or two of that Fonscolombe blanc.
